It was a sunny day in the 70s and the sky was clear. I was fishing in mild stained water and was throwing crankbaits above submerged vegetation. I cast a couple times and finally got a bite.

It was a cool, calm night fishing a boat launch that had a reed edge and a deep drop off. I was drop shotting a zoom finesse worm in junebug along the Reed edges. When I night fish, I find drop shot works well if you kind of slowly work it back instead of popping it. I cast it out along the edges again and worked it down the drop off, and then I thought I got snagged, but it turned out it was a 6 lb bass, and the fight was on.
