Be sure to tie your drop shot a good 6-8 inches off the bottom of where your sinker would be to not get a bunch of weeds!

Tried 3 different frogs this day and had a bite on each one of them. Cast into the shallows on top of the weeds and walk them back towards your boat!

Did some dragging along the edges of the weed lines and casted into pockets over the lily pads and got tribal boy off a top water frog!

Started out pitching jigs along the reeds because I assumed the bass were still in their spawn mode. Managed to get a few in the boat. Moved off the shoreline after seeing a lot of cruisers in the 6-8ft of water range. Tossing bluegill pattern jigs and chatterbaits seemed to be the ticket because I noticed the bluegills were on beds already. Caught bass all throughout, couldn't really pattern them well today. Got them along the reeds and off the deeper drop offs with jigs, and in between by burning a chatterbait. The bass are all pretty much post-spawn already, a bit earlier than many of the other lakes in the area.

Threw my baits near the dock and reeds. Had many chase my large glide bait with 1 bite. Caught several on a megabass z2 crankbait. Most productive was throwing a smaller profile jig along the reeds. Used 14lb Shimano Mastiff FC. I've had several trips out with this line and I'm beginning to enjoy it. Very manageable and strong. Overall good line, I may make the switch from Sunline to Shimano Mastiff.

It was a windy one out today! Close to 25mph winds. Water temps were around 53 degrees as I went around the lake. Caught all my bass pretty shallow. I'd cast close to the reeds and slow retrieve back.

All the bass I caught were fairly shallow. Alot shallower than I first expected. Caught several real tight up against the reeds with a small swimbait right off the dock.
