It was a windy one out today! Close to 25mph winds. Water temps were around 53 degrees as I went around the lake. Caught all my bass pretty shallow. I'd cast close to the reeds and slow retrieve back.

All the bass I caught were fairly shallow. Alot shallower than I first expected. Caught several real tight up against the reeds with a small swimbait right off the dock.

Had wonderful bites up on the reeds near the shore.

Fit in a trip before the rain. Pretty windy so I started with a spinnerbait. Cruised down the shoreline and caught quite a few decent ones. Majority of them were very tight against the reeds or any wood cover I found. Wind died down and spinnerbait bite shut off. Proceeded to drag a jig around in deeper water and picked off a few more before the rain came.

Hitting all day. Great weather and water temperature. Couldn't believe how well it went. And no cooler with us lol.

Water was the warmest I found today. Fish were surprisingly close to shore. Went parallel to the bank while tossing spinnerbaits shallow and managed to catch several within an hour or two.

Water is still a bit cool. It had thawed and beautiful. No bites after 3 hours.

Started out pitching jigs along the reeds because I assumed the bass were still in their spawn mode. Managed to get a few in the boat. Moved off the shoreline after seeing a lot of cruisers in the 6-8ft of water range. Tossing bluegill pattern jigs and chatterbaits seemed to be the ticket because I noticed the bluegills were on beds already. Caught bass all throughout, couldn't really pattern them well today. Got them along the reeds and off the deeper drop offs with jigs, and in between by burning a chatterbait. The bass are all pretty much post-spawn already, a bit earlier than many of the other lakes in the area.
