During the summer Largemouth bass like to sit up under over hanging trees or under logs. I like to take a dark colored Keitech jig with a dark trailer as well. Skipping the jig up under the trees or next to the logs and work it slowly out from the bank. A great technique to catch bass all day long as well as using a jig, therefore chasing a bigger bite!

Fishing the lake the first hour of light the frog and topwater bite is very productive! Your best chance to catch a lot of quality fish. I throw the frog in all of the matted grass but focusing on "walking" the frog along the grass edges where the bass are pushing the bait up to.
