Water Temps are on the rise and the big largemouth are moving up. Its not easy, but if you can trick a largemouth into biting they are big. I beat my Personal best today by a 1/2oz. 7 lbs 1/2oz

Caught a lot of fish off docks and in the 10-15 foot of water off rocks. Definitely was starting to spawn pretty well

After striking out on Silver Lake, I headed home to Keuka Lake. Water temps today were 42-44 degrees with almost crystal clear clarity. My baits of the day were a Reef Runner Cicada and a Silver Buddy blade bait. The fish still seem to be deep, but becoming more active. They are definitely keying in on schools of Perch - because if I was around schools of Perch I would catch a smallmouth. Two of the smallmouth I caught had perch tails sticking out of their throats!

Water temp dropped from 45 to 41, but i almost seemed to make the smallmouth bite better. They were stacked in a few small areas, but 30-35 feet of water seemed to be the key.

Fish were around grass and rock. Had to have both to find the fish. Checked rock piles out deeper and couldn’t find much for size. Checked grass and again cookie cutter size. Find grass and rock in 10-16 foot and that seemed to hold better quality.
