Toads got crushed all morning. Fished in coves along mats and heavy grass adjacent to deeper water. Used a yum finger wacky rig as a follow up and caught a few more after they missed the toad. I imagine a walking/popping frog would’ve worked well too, but covering water was a priority and toads are a presentation which they aren’t used to. Biggest was a bit under 2 pounds

Look for shad with your side scan. If you see bass relating to them fire an under spin, small swimbait or swim jig at them. If you can get above them without spooking them then a drop shot or spoon will work. Time behind the graph is key.
