Smallies we're VERY shallow on rocky points. Just look for the hazzard buoys on the lake! They could be caught making long casts with a walking topwater. They really were hitting the SB 105 hard and the hookups were great.

Finished a tourney on LCO 7/9 ended up taking 1st the smallmouth hadn’t put on the post spawn weight yet so we fished smallie the first 2 hours then largemouth most of the day. Smallies were cruising shallow rock flats/spines topwater/flukes. The largies in standing cabbage with milfoil clumps mixed in. However the largies weren’t relating to the milfoil during the tournament more cruising in the cabbage
