2nd day on the lake. Decided to work on my jig fishing technique.... because for some strange reason, I'm not very good at it. So I put everything else away and dedicated my efforts on getting better jig fishing. I tried several different color combinations, (Brown and Black jigs with various colored trailers) but Green Pumpkin seemed to be what worked best. It was very successful day and I came out of it feeling much more positive with a football jig set-up in my hands. It didn't hurt to be wearing my lucky fishing hat....

First time out on this lake bass fishing. So I went exploring and tried just about everything just to see what got a bite going. I had a range of success, but wanted to highlight the Heddon Super Spook, just because it's so fun to get those top water bites. I think tomorrow, I'm going to concentrate on using a jig. But today, it was throw the kitchen sink and explore day! Water temps were all over the place, depending on where you were on the lake.
