I caught some pike and small bass around the weed perimeter using ned, wacky and tubes. Friends caught larger bass in the lily pads using a frog. That was definitely the ticket for bass this evening.

The bite was tough but managed a few bass. Side note, remember this is a catch and release bass fishery and a slotted limit for northern pike. Read the signs at the launch. This is also a non motorized gas engine lake. Makes for a very peaceful lake to fish and canoe/kayak in. The bass very very finicky, and wanted nothing but slow moving wacky rigged worms. Biggest bass of the day was a 17.75” bass and smallest was 14.5” bass. A few crappies were caught by other anglers going after bass. Also managed a couple small northern pikes using moving baits such as a chatterbait or tandem spinner baits. Water temp was around 78 degrees, water clarity was good at around 10-15 feet visibility.
