Had a good day of walleye fishing. Caught all of my fish on jerkbaits but they weren't crushing it quite yet. Really really had to work it slow to get them to eat it. With all of the bait around you had to get them to bite which wasn't the easiest thing to do.

Lake Bemidji is my favorite walleye lake to fish in the fall. The key is to find areas that slowly drop off vs a steep drop off. Slower drop off areas hold a lot more bait which holds more fish. In my best areas i was seeing hundreds if not thousands of walleyes on live. It was ridiculous. I was just casting the little crankbait above the schools and then depending on how they reacted I would either speed up, slow down, or pause and let it float away.
