We smoked them on swim jigs and chatter baits, caught close to 100 and almost 18 pounds. The biggest one was 4.5 and caught a few close to 4 as well. I was fishing the warmest bays with the muddiest bottoms. The fish were schooled in certain areas.

Crappies flooding into shallow bays protected from the wind. Look for submerged vegetation or fallen trees in 3-5 fow. Leave the minnows at home - fish compact soft plastics on light jigs 2 feet beneath a float. Perfect bite to share with a kid!

Fishing around bluegill beds. Could see beds clear as day on mega 360, perspective mode live made them visible as well. Throwing cranks over the beds in about 6-10ft when wind was up. If wind died the Ned rig would out perform the crank. The beds would feel like dragging over gravel so if you are not feeling that keep moving around. Also make sure to spot out clusters on pontoon boats as they were often bluegill fisherman and fish in and around them. This pattern had me in first place after day 1 of a college bass tournament.

Fish good green scum mixed with pads in the backs on arms and bays. Also fish pads closer to the main lake keep a flipping stick close by with a strike king punch bug and a 3/4oz tungsten weight. This pattern produced two 4lb fish between practice and a college bass tournament.
