Wind was blowing hard, but we focused on the warmer water. Caught lots of fish on jigs and crankbaits around the riprap and wood. My biggest on the day was 4.25, but my partner broke his PB with a 6.5 and a 5.5. Biggest 5 on the day went 23.5lbs.

Air temps were cold, but the fishing on this power plant lake was HOT! I used the new St.Croix Legend tournament crankbait rod with a tatula SV to make precise casts to the bank. A DT6 or DT8 were the most productive baits, but several fish and some of our biggest fish were caught dragging finesse jigs around the wood. This lake is pressured pretty heavily, so a nice light sensitive rod and high quality flourocarbon line were important.
