Crappie were great in brushpiles in 20-30 ft of water if they came up to 18-15 ft. Jigs were the ticket!

Working big worms around brush piles is a great pattern to run all over the lake right now. Just fish as many piles as you can until you run into a good group

There continues to be a solid shallow bite on Conroe even as the fish move out deep, the backwaters still have a quite a few shad left in them from the shad spawn and a frog worked around lay downs and any form of vegetation is producing good bites in the morning and evening
