Find laydowns in shallow water or standing timber. Run the lipless crank through cover and hang on. Water temp low 50s, high 40s, wind blown banks are key.

Using the Outkast Float N Fly Hair Jig to target suspended smallmouth and largemouth on forward facing sonar. Creek and River Channel bends with bluff walls have been the most successful areas to target. As the water temps get cold a small hair jig like this on light line can get some bites when other techniques are not working. I like to use a medium light rod throwing these as it seems to help cast these lighter weight jigs better as well as fighting larger fish with light line.
