We were targeting underwater eel grass on or around shell bars using a 3/8 oz chatter bait mini max with a 3'' zako trailer. Making contact with the shell or eel grass was crucial to getting a bite.

During practice, we found a few fish staging on eelgrass edges that were willing to bite a lipless crankbait. We were slow rolling and yo-yoing lipless crankbaits around these grass edges and shellbars.
