The weather really pushed the bass to cover. The only way to get bit was multiple pitches to a piece of structure. Usually, the 2nd or 3rd pitch would get the fish to eat the bait. We threw everything at them and the only thing they would eat was the Yamtanuki. It's a heavy salt bait that has a very subtle action. We rigged these Texas-style with a 5/0 EWG hook. We were able to take 2nd place with this bait and technique.
