Fished a big bass tournament and numbers were excellent but the big bass eluded me. This 16.75 was good enough to get in the money though. Almost all my fish were caught on the jackhammer throwing at docks. I probably caught 40 fish during the day. Nothing very big. Everything 14-16 inches.

During the pre-spawn to spawn transition the channels and cuts become populated with largemouth bass. Starting at the mouths and working through the channels slowly paying attention to water temperature as fish will tend to spawn early on this lake and with clear water you will be able to see them on there beds

Windy cold front conditions.. Water was 50 degrees and the bass were stacked up in 6-10 fow with shallow flats near by.. jerkbait was the deal today a lot of 1-2lb fish with a few 3-4lbers mixed in. Letting the jerk bait sit for 2-3 sec seemed to be the cadence the fish wanted.. when the jerk bait bite would die off the drop shot would pick up a few..
