Just was out for a couple hours and did some flipping wasn’t to bad was fishing 9-14 feet of water. Was a tough bite but got a nice one . Would rather go to a different lake but was out to try it !

Outing was for July 23rd after work outing. Was an overcast cooler day in the low 70's or upper 60's and fishing was a bit slow at first. Caught a few dock fish up shallow at first and a couple nice ones flipping/skipping docks. But really got on them on some thick outside weedlines flipping on straight braid and also on some Mastiff. So far trying it out, I have liked Mastiff better than Invisx that I used to use. Seems just a touch coarser, which for flipping/skipping 1/2 oz jugs works well for me. Flipping texas rigged, pegged baits to outside edges of very thick matted milfoil was key. Caught about 6 fish in a quick 10 minutes or less doing this. Overall a great after work outing.

This report is for 7/13, fished from about 4pm to about 7:30pm. Was mostly sunny, light breeze and hot. During this time there was also a small 16 boat bass derby going on. So lots of pressure. Had a bunch of hits on a Teckel Sprinker, but no real takers, seemed to just be swiping at it. So switched up to the Big Gabot and they started eating it up! Caught a couple nice ones in the slop on it. Also had some luck on a black/blue D-bomb up shallow near docks.
