There are pencil reeds and reeds scattered all along the lake, pitching soft plastic creature baits like the 13 Fishing Invader and a 3/8 oz. to 1/2 oz tungsten is critical to get it through the heavy grass. Basic setup was a 13 Fishing Med/Heavy Muse Black with 21 lb. Fishing Lyn, 13 Fishing Invader (Cold Cuts Color), bobber stop and a 3/8-1/2 oz. tungsten weight. The key was any little points, indentions or matted areas in the reeds.
