It was really hot and most fish where caught either docks or under trees and stumps. Using a small profile jig helped with the stump bite. Using a skipping jig help with helping well skipping, also just a fyi it’s skips like a dream.

Fishing vegetation starting to come up on opener. Fish were finicky. Had to fish extremely slow to get a bite. Seems like the fish were still offshore and prespawn for the most part. Did not find many fish up shallow. Fished in 5-8 ft of water.
