Lake Josephine has minimal structure and minimal cover. The lake is relatively shallow with the exception of a few deep holes in the S/SE corner. With the lake mostly consisting of sand, you need to cover a lot of water to find fish. I have found the slightest changes in depth/bottom composition will hold fish. Find coontail and lilypads and fish with jigs. This lake holds some big bass - you just need to work for them.

Found some grass and started swimming my dark sleeper through the grass. Caught a few bass but this was the bigger one!

Was swimming the swimbait by docks and stumps and felt my rod twitch 2-3x! I set the hook and caught this big guy! Always a fun fight when you catch on a soft swimbait.

Found small schools of walleye on weed edges along a point in 11-13 ft of water. Casted into the weeds, strikes were usually right around the weed line.

Was shore fishing and saw about 3-5 small guys swimming around. They only wanted the ned rig.
