WalleyeTechniqueIce Fishing Tip-UpsSeasonIceStructureLedgesPretty good dusk bite on tip-ups around the weedline & first break into the main basin of the lake. Treble hooks with fatheads or shiners work well for occasional walleyes.

Largemouth BassTechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Large)SeasonSummerStructureStumpsWas swimming the swimbait by docks and stumps and felt my rod twitch 2-3x! I set the hook and caught this big guy! Always a fun fight when you catch on a soft swimbait.

WalleyeTechniqueFinesse JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationFound small schools of walleye on weed edges along a point in 11-13 ft of water. Casted into the weeds, strikes were usually right around the weed line.

Largemouth BassTechniqueSwim JigsSeasonSummerStructureMatted GrassLake Josephine has minimal structure and minimal cover. The lake is relatively shallow with the exception of a few deep holes in the S/SE corner. With the lake mostly consisting of sand, you need to cover a lot of water to find fish. I have found the slightest changes in depth/bottom composition will hold fish. Find coontail and lilypads and fish with jigs. This lake holds some big bass - you just need to work for them.

Largemouth BassTechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSummerStructureDocksWas throwing everything and no hits. So I decided to swim my Okashira Screwhead on the edge of the dock and caught 3-4 little guys!

Largemouth BassTechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationTough morning finding a pattern. Figured if they werent going to react to a jerkbait at this point, nothing else would make them bite. Thankfully the wind picked up and was able to find them over submerged grass. Fun Bite!
