The senko works everywhere year round. This bait especially works well on Lake LBJ. Flip a senko into any dock and the chances are you will get bit. I prefer a green pumpkin color with flake in it. Find brush pile on Lake LBJ at the back of boat docks. Check out the video of the Texas rigged senko finishing off a limit for a W on Lake LBJ.

Throwing a spinnerbait in the river sections of Lake LBJ can produce big bass. When the dam is open spinnerbaits work around piling and retaining walls where there are current breaks. A swimbait trailer has gotten me bites when using this bait. Gold blades for murky water and silver blades for clear water is a good rule of thumb for spinnerbaits. The spinnerbait is good selection for a moving bait option when the bass are chasing shad. Check out the video of a 7LB bass smoking my spinnerbait first cast of the morning in a Media Bass tournament.
