Fished from shore targeting drop off points and what structure could be seen. Most bass were either caught 30 yards out or right next to shore. When the senko bounced on rocks it usually got picked up. Once the line started to move I gave the fish about 3 seconds to eat then a strong but not extreme hook set. I found dragging up and letting sit would get crushed the most. While there were tons of blow ups from bass I moved on, I usually do not have luck with anything other than shad presentations on schooling bass here. Find one of the many walking and fishing trails and try out a Texas rigged worm.

We got as deep in the pads as we could and then launched our frogs as shallow as we could cast and that's where they were chasing bait. They seemed to like the mixture of lily pads that were in the water and some that weren't. The lily pad bite only lasted for around 2hrs and then we were catching them under shallow duckweed as the day progressed.

Won a tournament this weekend with a 2 day total of 20.96lbs. On day one we found a lily pad field where the fish were pushing bait deep into the pads. We caught em in the open pockets on buzzbaits. We saw lots of fish blowing up but they were too keyed in on bait. The croc-o-gator skirtless buzz bait with a Berkeley beatin' toad really got it done. They hate the squeaking sound that this buzz bait puts off.
