    Fishing during a front with high north and east winds. Clear skies and windy. Found a few small bass up on the ledges. Talking with other anglers it has been tough fishing the last few days.

    Had a short outing to Lake Mackenzie on a Saturday morning. Found a little cove where I caught numerous white/sand bass and a few smaller largemouth. The largemouth were caught on top water spook and a junior-sized jerkbait.

    Bass fair on deep diving cranks and Carolina rigs 18 to 25 foot of water. Bass are mostly post spawn. Crank baits used were Azuma Timmy Horton’s Z Boss. C-Rig was Yamamoto Fat Ika Blue Pearl with Silver and Black Flake.
