Overcast conditions with a little rain in the morning hours. The black bass bite was slow. I caught a few and the biggest is pictured below. I talked with another boater and kayaker, and they were also having a slow time with the bass. The white bass on the other hand are still schooling up and are easy to catch on topwater. The bass I did catch was on a popper or a follow-up caffeine-shad soft jerkbait after they missed the popper.

Fishing after an overnight rain storm. Heavy cloud cover and 20-degree cooler temps than the day before. White bass were out-busting shad all day. I went out in my kayak to some coves close to the main docks and I just waited for the busting to start. I caught 50+ white bass all varying sizes and all on top water with the popper and spook. No picture this time - the action was so fast and furious and did not take the time to take pics.
