Fished submerged vegetation that had open pockets and consisted of a gravel bottom. I used a 1/16 oz tungsten bullet weight (peg-less) Texas rig and it seemed to work. Still had a tough time on getting them to bite.

Largemouth are still heavily relating to bluegill beds. There are a lot of them up shallow in 2-4" with large numbers of bass around. Targeting these fish with wacky rigs is money. The average size isn't huge but you can catch TONS of fish. For better quality bass target the bluegill beds on the weed edges (easy to find with side imaging). I have been fishing these with texas rigged craws and having good success.
