Was forced to fish shallow to get out of winds when I came across this nice pre-spawn bass sitting in the middle of a cluster of cypress trees in about 3 feet of water. Was fishing a zoom trick worm on a shaky head jig.

Put in at the Hatchery and worked the canal primarily. Two colder nights and bluebird skies coupled with rising high pressure had the fish deeper and hold to the edges of emerging lily pad fields. Had one hook up on a wacky rig but the Texas rigged worm slowly drug on the bottom with a occasional hop drew the bites today.
