Caught several small fish off stumps and rip rap. My two best fish came out deeper at around boulders in 12 to 16 feet of water. Had to locate the schools of bait to be productive. Winners brought in a limit of 21 pounds with several other bags weighed in of 16 pounds or better.

The upper and main lake are very muddy, however as you move further into the creeks the water begins to clear up. Paying attention to the birds is a great indicator as to what section of the creeks the bait is congregating in. On this outing there was little to no wind towards the backs of the creeks, forcing me to abandon the normal winter power fishing techniques and slow down with finesse gear.
