Decided to try the lake out before the season ended. I assumed they would be in the basins(20-30ft) but didn't mark anything after checking 2. I did find some good weeds and thats where they all seemed to be(<10ft). Had a good day catching sunfish, crappies, bass. Also saw a bullhead and pike/musky but no bites. The 1/32 or 1/8 Pinhead Pro tipped with minnows/wax worms were the best baits!

Went out Thursday and Friday for a few hours, and ice was barely holding on. Fished the weed line(~6-10ft) leading into a basin(~18ft). I generally setup in that ~10ft zone and panfish were definitely all over the place, as I would mark some coming from shallow(3-4ft) and others from deeper(+10ft). I did fish the basin a little bit(15-18ft), catching one baby walleye and marking another good fish but it wasn't as hot a bite as the shallow/dropoffs. Was able to get 2 pike to bite, one on the tipup and one on a Frostbite Dinner bell.
