Fishing emergent pad stems has been a great way to catch good numbers. Bites have come either paralleling the outside stems or casting into them, but keeping your swim jig in the middle of the water column is key. The only real pattern with this bite has been the sun. The higher, warmer sun later in the morning and early afternoon has seemed to create a more consistent bite as these fish start to pull up into warmer, shallower water with the sun.

During the early morning bass were very aggressive along the Eastern arm of the lake. Had a couple swipes and a strike at a topwater frog, otherwise had luck with a pegged Texas Rigged Senko along the edges of the weed lines
