Fishing for Crappies produced a mixed bag of Crappies, Sunifish, and Largemouth Bass. Primarily fished the weed edge (lake map depths of 12'-15') near and adjacent flat. Openings in the weed mat where weed cover changed from 2'-3' under the surface to open bottom excelled. The most productive results came from spot locking upwind of these pockets and casting back past them, running asmall 1/32 jig tipped with a Big Bite Bait Kamikaze Swimon (Crappie) plastic just above the shallow weeds and allowing the jig to drop into the pocket areas. most strikes occured on the fall of the jig into these holes. The sensativity to feel light bites came from using a St Croix Panfish series rod / Diawa Revros loaded with Sufix Nano Braid and an 8' Sufix advanced flurocarbon leaders.
