Find the rip rap near steeper drop offs and grind the shoreline, once you find one you will usually find a bunch. Had good luck on points and shell beds in 5 feet or less of water.

The bait they are keyed in on is around 1-2” in length. The thin jackall Rhythm matched the hatch near perfectly. Slow retrieve when not busting on bait and a very fast retrieve when they are breaking surface to keep the lure near the top was the key to success.

Post front conditions, water level came up about 1.5 feet, the bass seemed to be more up in cover rather than roaming or set up on the edges of cover. Used a 1/4 weight for a slow fall, and to present in a way that would trigger bites!

The fish were pretty tight lipped this weekend, had to move out deeper with lower water levels, dragging this worm slowly with occasional hops, any weed lines or ledges were where I found the majority of my fish!

Focused on flooded brush with points or ledges nearby, caught not only numbers but also bigs like the photo. Started shallow and worked my way out over the points.
