Lots of bass in the 2.5-4lb range. Biggest 5 were about 17.5lb.

Fall transition time, cover water, find the bait find the fish. Most bites came off deep weedlines and main lake points.

This week there were quality bass, both laregemouth and smallmouth are in shallow water near rocks and riprap. Topwater search baits like Whopper-Ploppers or the Berkley Choppo 120 can work all day, and were all we had to throw to put together a limit of 3, and 4lb fish. Cast right up to the rocks, retreive at the right speed for that pop pop sound, and repeat. A few bass could also be found at the downriver end of Pepin hitting topwater in the sloughs, where there were wood and current eddies.
