Went out for a few hour at first light. Mid coves had shad busting the surface. Threw megabass pop max and Berkeley choppo and got them to bite. Had to get off the lake by 10 as the weekend crowd was there in full force.

Tried downsizing to the 4.5” Shadtron gizzard shad when I wasn’t getting any action in the 6” swimbait. Immediately hooked up with two large stripers in a shallow cove where the water was slightly stained. Slowed down the retrieve with occasional pauses. The water is warming up and the fish are getting a little more picky. Still hit these swim baits like a freight train!
