I spent most of my time focusing the rocks right below the Oconee dam. There was no water flow from generation, so the water was slick calm. I saw water temps from 68-72, and had to work the bait ultra slow to get bit. The bite was good and lasted until around 11. After that, I targeted shallow pockets off the main river channel in dying hydrilla with a chatterbait.

Cloudy overcast days had fish roaming but if there was shad in the area there was fish. Fishing a popping frog over lay downs caught a big one. The grass is slowly firing above surface but still health below. Any rattle trap worked through the grass caught fish. You could fish the same area with a worm and catch a few more Texas rigged.
