Struggled to get on an early morning pattern but in the afternoon I would position my boat in 25 feet and throw megabass sv-3 spinnerbait and 6th sense cloud 15 crank bait into 5-10 foot over grass and work it down the grass. I focused on points and flats that had grass and standing timber.

Both small mouth and large are on beds, For small mouth look for shallow bays with short stumps with exposed rootball. Almost every stump will have a bed under it. Sneak up to the spot cause fish are spooky. Make a silent cast passed the stump and slowly drag to the bed then twitch bait until fish bites. For largemouth look for natural banks with lay downs. Tip: use snag less rigs to help prevent snagging wood and forcing you to drive up to strike zone to get bait unhooked.
