TechniqueNed RigsSeasonFallStructureDocksThis report is for 10/1/21 to 10/2/2021. Weather is unseasonable warm and humid, with on and off rain and drizzle. Huge algae bloom with bright green near shore. I think this warmth made the fishing a bit tough as the fish don't know if fall is coming or what is going on. Started out fishing with some chatterbiats and topwater with no luck. Noticed lots of walleye anglers fishing pretty deep so tried out fishing nearby for smallies, with a little luck on the drop shot around 15 to 20 feed deep. Overall fishing seemed pretty stingy. Finally started catching them on a ned rig near docks and some flats outside of spawning bays. Overall great trip, wished we would have caught a few more.
