The wildfire smoke haze kept the light level down to a mostly cloudy to partly sunny condition, and temperatures relatively cool. Good numbers and quality largemouth were biting jigs and craw trailers at the edges of reeds, near channel bullrushes, and skipped under docks. A few keeper smallmouth on topwater near the reeds too.

Caught solid numbers of fish shallow and pretty tight to shore. Fish were relating to docks, wood, and trees overhanging the bank. Most were caught on a jack hammer while covering water. Did pick up a few on a neko rig while picking apart docks / wood. Also caught a few in 7-10 ft on a finesse jig. Average size was 1.75 pounds, with the biggest of the day going 3.98 (neko rig). Picked up a bonus smallie on the chatter bait, shallow and near rocks
