My usual go-to. Caught in the first cast! Really only good for one fish or two so I packed up after 15 min of casting and called it good. 6’8 M-XF Spinning rod for precision and quick hook setting speed. 12lb braid to 8lb fluoro. Go lighter on braid and fluoro (10lb to 6lb) if you are fishing waters with more visibility and less structure to get snagged on.

ROUGH day of fishing 05/30/22 on Lake Washington. wacky rig wasn't doing it so had to go back to ol' reliable and sure enough caught one within the next 1-2 casts underneath the dock that i had been working for a bit. THIS IS A MUST IF YOU'RE NEW TO BASS FISHING. it's meant for numbers, not size, and a solid boost of morale.
