It was cold, windy and partly cloudy. I was covering water from parks and piers with a Chrome Rattle trap, chrome blue fox, and various Senkos. I work and area for about 30 mins and move on. All three fish today came on the Lipless, straight slow crank, no jig/lift and drop. Fish are in about 15-20 feet of water. Mostly males. You’ll see the fish chasing schools of what I believe are trout fry. First smallie of the season. 1 of four for the morning. Looks to have been making a bed. It’s about that time y’all ! Tight lines! Cast along and under docks and get ready! Smallies were smashing these. Bring lots of keitechs cause you’ll catch smallies, rock bass and largies!

Caught around wood piles and brush in 2-3 feet of water. Same spot as my last catch (around the dock). Still surprised how sharp and durable this spinner bait is. Smacked it a couple times on the dock skipping underneath and it held strong.

Another lunch trip casting from the bank. The fish are easy to find this time of year. Caught fish throwing the 6th sense speed glide in Gill. A custom 3.75 perch glide from Forbitten Baits. Also Might still be available from Dark Horse Tackle site. The good old reliable, a Texas Rig-Watermelon Black flake 5” senko On a 4/0 Mustad EWG. Weightless. I pinch, rub and twist the whole worm, just short of breaking it. Take all the glossy look off.
