Lake Winnibigoshish Fishing Report

Lake Winnibigoshish, known as Lake Winnie, is a phenomenal ice fishing destination. Walleye, Northern Pike, and Perch draw anglers from around the midwest to this northern Minnesota Lake. Perch are often found by fishing main lake humps or points using jigging spoons or heavy, tungsten jigs. These baits will allow you to drop to the bottom quickly. If after a few minutes you don't catch or see anything on your electronics, keep moving. Perch are a very fast moving fish and their schools roam these areas. By moving when activity slows down allows you to relocate these schools and continue catching fish all day.
