Fishing through some islands on the northern part of Lake Wisconsin/Wisconsin River, Fish were tight on the weedlines and found in the deeper pockets as the water level had dropped a foot and the current had slowed. Found good smallmouth waiting for the TRD to float by in the deeper pockets of water off sandbars and found largemouth holding tight to the weed lines. I was also throwing a missile baits D Bomb in Green pumpkin blue texas rigged on a 1/8oz pegged weight right up on the weed lines and letting the current take it downstream. Largemouth would hit it as it drifted past them.

Smallmouth bite was very good this past weekend with most bites coming from main river bluff walls that had adjacent deep water. These areas with small eddy's almost guaranteed fish. Wacky rigged Senko and Ned craws were my most productive baits.
