Shad
Bass can be found pushing shad into the backs of major creeks all across Lake Wylie as the water temps continue to fall. Covering lots of shallow structure with a crank bait can be a very productive method of catching fish this time of year. Focus on Docks, Laydowns, and shallow rock when looking for these nomadic fish. Jerk baits such as the Berkley Stunna are also a great choice to locate bass hiding out in shallow structure.

Points
The trees may say it's fall but the bass are not feeding heavily in the typical fall fashion. Water is stained throughout most of the lake along with being several feet above full pool. Morning bite is slow, it picks up as the air temperature climbs. Main lake points throughout the lake or the current breaks on the upper end is a good place to start. Wylie has been stingy when it comes to a solid tournament sack, 3 fish sacks collected a check in last weekend's tournament. Top water bite has slowed down, maybe a handful of blow ups a day. The Rapala DT 6 in Demon Craw, tandom willow 1/2 oz Chartreuse Shad Bassman Spinnerbai, the black Zoom Trick Worm rigged on a shaky head jig, & Strom 360 GT swimbait has been the baits used to catch my fish the last few weeks.
