The picture says it all! The bass are still up in the thick rice and reeds. Most of the largemouth are post spawn with water temps in the upper 60’s. Finding the pre-spawners was a definite key to success.

The bass are bunched up in large groups - while you will fish a lot of dead water, the areas where you find them are money! The fish tend to sit in the heavier clumps of cover no matter what it is. Casting a Swim Jig around these areas is the quickest and most effective way to find quality largemouth. Also, they are starting to hit frogs which can make the search even more fun!
