Fishing rocks on the edge of secondary points with a jerkbait or flat sided crankbait has worked for both largemouth and spotted bass. Jerkbait does not need to be paused for long, 2-4 seconds at most. Crankbait worked best when reeled fast and then paused. Burning the bait over the rocks gets the aggressive fish, then the jerkbait did the clean up.
