I was fishing the Mad River/Great Miami River confluence. I was throwing the size 4 Berkley Money Badger in a couple of colors with no bites which I was shocked about. I caught my one really nice one and another nice one that got off on the Berkley Stunna. Great jerkbait for the price especially. I was throwing all around fast moving river current. Very erratic action, not too fast, but definitely moving.

The absolute best lure here and in these smaller rivers & creeks is the Arkie Lures mini deep crankbait. They don’t have it listed here, but they very cheap so if you lose one getting hung up no big deal. Throw natural colored ones in decent current & along the bank making sure it’s making contact with the bottom. A smaller natural colored jig will always get bit as well!
