Tough day wind-wise (13mph, 25 mph gusts). However, pikes were lively! Bluegills were schooling in the shallows and many pikes were stalking about 10-50 ft out in the weed lines from shore. Tried a few things (T-Rig, Spinnerbait, etc.), but the one thing that they seemed to be feeling today were bladed jigs/chatterbaits! Water was a bit dirty from the current, but Black/Blue was not hitting today. We had the best success with the Thunder Cricket in Green Pumpkin followed by the Jackhammers with a touch of white in the skirt. All in all, we ended up with over a dozen pikes between my partner and I.

Burning in fast from the weed line with spinners into lily pads was a fast way to get the aggressive pre-spawn bass into the boat. It was still a fire bite, and extremely entertaining to watch the bass track down this spinner and hammer it.
