Fishing was slow to start but as the sun came out and it heated up, so did the fishing. Caught several really nice bass in the last hour we were out around 11am. They were all on the northern end in the weeds. White and blades was the only thing that worked.

With the fall here, any type of moving bait is the ticket to success. Water has been in the mid 50's and some days are windier than others. I fish out of a Hobie Kayak, so wind plays a big role on if I fish or not. I get out on this lake at least once or twice a week. Fish are a bit deeper, I find areas that are 10-15 fow and cast Berkley Flicker Shads in natural colors and also use Funk Buster Baits Wesley Warbirds 1.0 for these fish. Even caught a 26+ inch walleye, releaseed back to grow some more. Slowly retrieve and also vary your retrieve speed from time to time, it'll get them to bite. Right now, when they hit, they hit hard! You'll think you have a very huge fish on, until it calms down and it's a bit smaller than expected. You want good pike action? You don't have to go far from the boat launch! I see so many boat anglers zip right through that area. You'll get walleyes and pike in the area.

This fishing report is for Sunday October 10th. Water temps in the mid 60's still, so still quite warm. Arrived a little late in the morning around 8am and was still heavy overcast that started clearing up. Then re-clouded up later in the morning. Fished from about 8am to 2pm. Fishing was pretty slow in the morning, caught one good bass on a frog near a dock, but no other takers on topwater of various types. Tried deep cranking deep rocks, no luck. Finally found them with a drop shot on outside weedlines around 8' or so. Was throwing a tequila sunrise 6" roboworm on a drop shot. Ended up catching about 6 in the last couple hours of fishing after being very slow for the morning. All were in the 1.5lb to 2.5lb range. Overall it was a good day.
