This was an unplanned outing on Tuesday 6/9/2026. It was sunny, warm with a high in the low 80's. Winds started out strong out of the south and started lightening as the evening continued. Started out fishing docks up very shallow and caught a couple really nice ones on a jig skipped into the shade. Then tried some deeper docks with no luck. Tried some shallow pads and got one on a frog. OMG were there unlimited sunfish and some crappies up shallow. Huge schools of them. Later tried some shallow weeds near docks and caught a couple more, both on a frog and on a Deps and Geecrack Gill bait flipped under some pontoons. Also tried skipping a Sleeper Craw and caught a few fish, but seems to get hung more easily than a jig. Overall, a great surprise outing on a weeknight! Caught about 8 bass this evening!

During the hot months of the summer the larger bass will move out to the deeper rock piles and humps located on various spots on Medicine. When you locate these spots tie on a deep diving crankbait and work the area well. This should yield some quality fish. You can also try dragging a football jig over the same spot to add a few more bites.

Fishing early Father's Day morning, 6/19/2022. Was very windy this morning and day. Fish definitely up shallow early morning biting on top-water. Switched over to a frog as the sun got stronger and found a bite. Caught a couple decent fish near docks/pads and lost a few others. Tried out the Big Gabot and caught the first few bass on a new frog to me!
