These fish had previously just been up shallow but we had a rain the day before that had pushed them back before the fish had just started to build there beds. i did catch a fish or two later in the day that may have been on bed but most of the fish was cruising or roaming. The bass held better to structure but the bite also slacked up later in the day. 3 of the five i weighed had already been caught before nine. We had started at 7 and i had four fish at nine i had culled out a smaller bass. These fish was roaming around lily pads and around logs and stumps most of my fish came from lily pads with a exception a couple bass i caught on logs or the biggest bass i caught which came on a deeper brushpile.
