Targeting prespawners on the edges of rock reefs with frop shots. Fish were schooled up, when i would catch 1 i would cast in the same spot and pull a few more off.

Wolfpacks of smallmouth are moving up from deep wintering holes to spawn. Look for large boulders in 8-12 ft as the smallmouth will use these spots as stopping points on their way to roaming spawning areas. Besides boulders, the fish also liked to follow patches of sand in the same depth range.

Fish are starting to move shallow. Find those flats with sand and rock mixes and work from the deeper edges of flats in. The fish are coming in waves. Jerkbaits and swimbaits were the deal.
