Minnows
Fishing the first break, jig and minnow early season. Minne Lacs is very clear, fish away from the boat either by casting and pitching or jig trolling. What I mean by jig trolling is cast your jig away from the boat and trolling with your electric motor and just keep bouncing your jig and keep it moving. I like to use a braid and tie a 5'-8' piece of mono to the braid and attach the mono to the jig. If you are getting bite short attach a stinger hook to your jig. Tip your jig with a minnow, leach or 1/2 crawler. Keep checking the last couple feet of line for nicks, the zebra mussels are very sharp on the bottom.

Fishing rock/sand transition areas in 2-6ft with Megabass Vision 110. A lot of fish caught working it fast.
