Water was dropping and in the mid 70’s. This was the first time fishing this pool for me so I mostly drove around and got a feel for the area. I did hit several points where I saw shad busting and caught several smallmouth. I was throwing a Jackhammer and a chrome Strike King Sexy dog jr along the current seam. I only had a few hours so I stayed on the north end but it looks like there is some great stuff to the south I’ll check out next time I have more time.

Our biggest fish only around 3.5lbs, but caught lots of fish in the 2.5lb range. As the sun came up a terminator popping frog started to produce some quality bites as well. Key to the bite was finding some good flow on the grass. If it was flowing through the grass and coming out the other side it was even better

Overcast with five to ten mile a hour winds

Found school of 3+ fish in edge of pads in flooded water, right on edge of weeds with 4 foot drop.
