Largemouth BassTechniqueFinesse JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureLedgesFound ledges/dropouts in Mississippi back water pools. Dragging the megabass sleeper craw in a muddy copper was getting it done. As soon as it hit that drop off you were getting bit. Got me 2nd place in my Tuesday nighter.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonFallStructurePointsWater was dropping and in the mid 70’s. This was the first time fishing this pool for me so I mostly drove around and got a feel for the area. I did hit several points where I saw shad busting and caught several smallmouth. I was throwing a Jackhammer and a chrome Strike King Sexy dog jr along the current seam. I only had a few hours so I stayed on the north end but it looks like there is some great stuff to the south I’ll check out next time I have more time.

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureLaydownsMost of our fish came on laydowns in the last 1/3 of dead end sloughs with 3-4 of water. We also caught a few on swim jigs around isolated shoreline weeds in the same areas.

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureLaydownsFished the second club tournament of the year. Honestly we were never on the right caliber of fish to contend. The falling water moved our fish and we didn’t adjust properly. The fish we did catch came flipping laydowns. The most productive ones were on the ends of points in 2-3 feet of water.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSummerStructureMatted GrassCaught the big smallmouth on a custom black and blue crankbait. The rest of my fish came from weed edges with black and blue wacky rigs. The New Alpha point fish stuck em good and the barb on them seemed to hold the fish better than any other ones I've used so far.
