Look for mid lake wind blown humps-rock plies, I like to use a braid and tie about a 6' piece of mono or floro direct to the braid. Use your electronics to locate the humps and look for active fish on the humps with a live unit if you have one or just start throwing onto them starting deep and moving onto them. let your jig sink to the bottom and jig it back using a snap action and pause between snaps to let it drop back down. A good quality rod makes a big difference in detecting bites. Good Luck

Spring is a great time to cast Chatter Baits on the shorelines and shallow points. Look for shallow rocky shorelines that have a slow taper and put your trolling motor down and start casting the shoreline. Very your speed and direction. I like to tie about 5’ or XT to the fireline as a little shock absorber, check your knots and the last few feet of line often for nicks. Good luck!🎣
