Fishing kayak tournament on nickajack. I had given up on this bait last Fall after having no luck with it thought i would give it another try since I was having any luck with any of the crush city minnow style baits skipped it in the front half of the dock and this little guy nailed it. Unfortunately it was my only fish wasn’t able to hook up with anymore keepers found a massive school of bass with Mega Live 2 on a shallow flat that gradually sloped to the main channel right at the end.

Pre-fishing for USA BASSIN AND TN BASS NATION kayak tournament . Picked up the 6” Swag LT after not having any luck with a pitching jig and strolling rig moved to the front of the dock , got a perfect skip to the back of it and it nailed it as soon as I started the retrieve. I bought almost every color in the 5” when they dropped and didn’t get the 6” until recently and only got one to try, sizes are awesome and easy to skip but the 6” fished like a different it has a lot better tail kick and a lot more drawing power than the 5”. Unfortunately it got snagged the day of the tournament on the same dock but will definitely be picking up another in more colors.

pre fished for the Tennessee Bass Federation State championship. We had scattered clouds with no wind so we decided to find hydrilla patches in 8 to 15 feet of water. Adjusted leader length and found a 3 foot leader was optimal to drag my bait thru the grass. Was able to get a few short fish and caught a 3 lbs 8 oz Large mouth. We found several grass areas that were productive
